Like many of us, I’ve learned a lot from the past few years. While life has moved on, I’ve chosen to keep several key hygiene practices in place permanently. This ensures your visit is always safe, clean, and comfortable.

Salon Hygiene Measures

  • Air Quality: I’ve installed two air purifiers with HEPA filters, ionisation, and UV-C light to ensure clean air circulation.

  • Sanitiser: Hand sanitiser is available at the entrance; feel free to use it.

  • Face Masks: Want to wear a mask? Totally fine—do whatever makes you feel most comfortable.

  • Disinfection: All tools and surfaces are thoroughly disinfected after every client.

  • Capes: Every client gets a fresh cutting cape. Do you prefer the classic leather cape? Just ask—I’m more than happy to use it on request.

Vaccination Status

For your peace of mind, I am fully vaccinated:

  • 7× COVID-19 vaccinations

  • 2× M-pox (monkeypox) vaccinations

A Note About Loki (Salon Dog)🐶

My rescue dog, Loki, is a permanent resident in the salon. He may bark a little when you enter, but he usually settles down quickly. He’s part of the experience and is growing more confident every day.

  • Other Pets: Please do not bring other pets to the salon.

  • Assistance Dogs: Certified assistance dogs are, of course, always welcome. Please let me know in advance, so I can secure Loki behind the desk with a little fence. This ensures both dogs (and humans!) stay relaxed and safe.

Accessibility Info ♿

Cuts & Curls is located in a historic building in Amsterdam, which unfortunately comes with a few limitations:

  • Entrance: The door is narrow and not wheelchair-accessible.

  • Restroom: Located down a small staircase (two steep steps) and not suitable for wheelchair users.

Need assistance? If you have mobility issues but can manage with some help, please call or email me ahead of time. I will do my best to assist you and can add some extra time to your appointment to make your arrival as smooth and unhurried as possible.

Net als velen van ons heb ik veel geleerd van de afgelopen jaren. Hoewel het leven doorgaat, heb ik besloten om een aantal belangrijke hygiënemaatregelen permanent te handhaven. Dit zorgt ervoor dat je bezoek altijd veilig, schoon en comfortabel is.

Hygiënemaatregelen in de salon

  • Luchtkwaliteit: Ik heb twee luchtreinigers met HEPA-filters, ionisatie en UV-C licht geïnstalleerd voor een schone luchtcirculatie.

  • Desinfectie: Handgel is beschikbaar bij de ingang; voel je vrij om het te gebruiken. Alle gereedschappen en oppervlakken worden na elke klant grondig gedesinfecteerd.

  • Mondkapjes: Wil je een masker dragen? Helemaal prima—doe waar jij je prettig bij voelt.

  • Kapmantels: Elke klant krijgt een schone kapmantel. Geef je de voorkeur aan de klassieke leren mantel? Vraag het gerust—ik gebruik hem graag op verzoek.

Voor jouw gemoedsrust ben ik volledig gevaccineerd:

  • 7× COVID-19 vaccinaties

  • 2× M-pox (apenpokken) vaccinaties

Over Loki (de salonhond) 🐶

Mijn rescue hond, Loki, is een vaste bewoner van de salon. Hij kan even blaffen als je binnenkomt, maar wordt meestal snel rustig. Hij is onderdeel van de ervaring en krijgt elke dag meer zelfvertrouwen.

  • Andere huisdieren: Neem alsjeblieft geen andere huisdieren mee naar de salon.

  • Hulphonden: Gecertificeerde hulphonden zijn uiteraard altijd welkom. Laat dit graag van tevoren weten, zodat ik Loki achter de balie kan zetten met een hekje. Zo blijven beide honden (en mensen!) ontspannen en veilig.

Toegankelijkheid ♿

Cuts and Curls Hairstyling is gevestigd in een historisch pand in Amsterdam, wat helaas enkele beperkingen met zich meebrengt:

  • Ingang: De deur is smal en niet toegankelijk voor rolstoelen.

  • Toilet: Bevindt zich na een klein trappetje (twee steile treden) en is niet geschikt voor rolstoelgebruikers.

Hulp nodig? Ben je slecht ter been, maar lukt het met wat hulp wel? Bel of mail me dan even van tevoren. Ik doe mijn best om je te assisteren en kan wat extra tijd inplannen om je aankomst zo soepel en rustig mogelijk te laten verlopen.
